OPA-LOCKA - Eight cadets from the Miami Springs Optimist Cadet Squadron took the skies in Opa-Locka, FL on Saturday, 25 February 2012. C/CMSgt Javier Munoz, C/SrA Glenn Camilo, C/SrA Juan Moas, C/Amn Michael Cabrera,
C/Amn Fabio Da Rocha, C/Amn Liyah Ruiz, and C/AB Justin Vazquez flew in
a Cessna 182 piloted by 1Lt Andrew Alloco. Cadet Ruiz shared her
thoughts on her experience, "I felt great! It was very exciting. I
learned a lot from it." The cadets went up two at a time, taking
turns as co-pilot to 1Lt Alloco. Each flight would take off from
Opa-Locka Airport and land at Dade-Collier Training and Transition
Airport, where the cadets would switch off before flying back to
Opa-Locka. |
